Outlander Materials is a biotech company based in Rotterdam, Netherlands. They produce revolutionary new materials by exploring the uses of waste from beer, food industry streams and by-products, and transform them into compostable and non-plastic novel materials that will never break down into micro- or nanoplastics.
Our primary objective for the website redesign was to highlight their vision of a circular and more sustainable future by bringing their products to the forefront. The content and tone necessitated improvement and clarity while allowing harmonious composition and messaging that is clear and easy to navigate across any platform.
During the COVID-19 lockdown, I collaborated remotely with the Founder of Outlander Materials– Lori Goff and Copywriter Evelien Al to strategise, ideate, refine and implement the new website design– powered by Squarespace. Our collaboration yielded visually striking images and illustrations, together with unified content backed by a cohesive visual system that could grow with the brand, and we also launched the company’s first tagline: “Outlander. Making Materials for the future.”
CLIENT FEEDBACK
The detail of thought Chrissie gave throughout the project was very reassuring. The design is exactly what was needed, perfectly defining Outlander and UnPlastic. Thank you very much for all your attention to detail. She’s amazing!!!
